The Boys & Girls Clubs of Philadelphia (BGCP)’s “A Bold Change for Kids” is a $40 million capital campaign to benefit the lives of thousands of Philadelphia youth. Part of the initiative is the funding for the renovation and addition of the original first Club built in Philadelphia over 129 years ago. BGCP owns over 100,000 square feet of land in this location making it an ideal place to create the model of a traditional Club, transforming the lives of the community’s more than 7,000 youth ages 5-18 living within a 1.5 mile radius of the club.

HSA developed a concept for the renovation and addition to the exisiting multi-level Club to provide accessible access and streamlined circulation. The renovation includes facade rehabilitation, new roof installation, infrastructure updates, and a full interior renovation. Spaces created include a Literacy Center, Learning Center, STEM class, Tech Center, Teen Center, Gym, Music Room, Cafe, and Game Room.
