Project Harmony, developed by the Bemis Center for Contemporary Arts in Omaha, Nebraska, is a center dedicated to protecting and supporting children, collaborating with professionals and engaging the community in combating child abuse and neglect.

The center’s art program selected Meg Saligman, a nationally celebrated artist known in Philadelphia for her innovative community based murals, to fabricate artwork for the new headquarters. The art would create a positive environment of safety, healing and caring for clients, staff, and partners. Meg designed and crafted art glass panels for the entry ways of the center titled “Safety Net” which drew inspiration from the artwork of the children at the center.

Heckendorn Shiles Architects worked closely with Meg Saligman, providing expertise in glass framing systems and assisting in coordination with the Client, General Contractors, Subcontractors, and Fabricators to integrate the glass artwork into an ongoing construction project.
