Neumann University Ice Hockey Arena
NCAA Division III ice arena for college and community
Aston, PA | 94,000 SF

HSA is collaborating with a longtime client Ed Snider Youth Hockey, to build a new NCAA Division III Ice Hockey Arena. The arena will feature two NCAA regulation ice surfaces and seating for up to 750 spectators. Anchored within the university’s existing athletic zone, the arena will welcome visitors with a bright entrance hall, offering a large gathering space with views into both ice rinks.
The lobby will include tiered seating for academic activities and informal gatherings. The second floor will house two large multipurpose classrooms, 3,400 square feet of athletic office space, and an intimate gathering area. The ice surfaces will be covered by pre-engineered structures, while traditional steel construction will be used for support spaces.
A central spine between the rinks will include general locker rooms, officials’ locker rooms, and skate rentals. NCAA men’s and women’s teams will have dedicated locker rooms, support spaces, and a secondary athlete entrance adjacent to rink 1. The arena will also feature broadcast facilities for NCAA competitions and media student education. Additionally, a partnership with a local foundation will introduce ice hockey to disadvantaged children.
