Ministry of Awe

Re-Imagining a Historic Bank

Philadelphia, PA

Award-winning muralist Meg Saligman has opened the Ministry of Awe, an artistic gathering space located at Third and South Streets in a historic, formerly closed bank building in Philadelphia. MOA is envisioned as a place for beauty, transformation, and revelry, inspiring the community through a diverse range of guest artists. The space continues to evolve through the input of visionaries, visitors, and bold, creative ideas. This project marks the eighth collaboration between HSA and Saligman. HSA’s contributions included site and structural assessment, analysis of expansion and renovation opportunities, building code and zoning compliance—particularly for museum occupancy—and the design of the space’s distinctive, artistic environments.
