Voorhees Public Hockey Arena

a refresh of the public parts of the facility

Voorhees, NJ

The Voorhees facility’s renovations were part of a multi-year effort with the public arena tying into the Flyers Brand. The public arena includes a vestibule and front desk, retail area, offices and skate rental, a multi-purpose space, concessions, party rooms, and an arcade. The entrance experience has been refreshed to align with the Flyers brand through thoughtful merchandising and interactive display design. The redesign consolidates retail into a clear, intuitive sequence that begins with a fan-focused merchandising experience and transitions to adult- and youth-oriented gear, with direct access from the parking lot to accommodate after-hours use. Additional enhancements to the public area include the introduction of a centralized security desk to better manage circulation, relocation of the stair to create a contiguous mezzanine event space while minimizing impact on the arcade, and expansion of the lobby’s multi-purpose area with an operable partition to provide flexible access to seating and support a variety of events. The plan also increases visibility to concessions while limiting disruption to existing infrastructure and modernizes roll-down gates, upgrades counters, and introduces new resilient flooring and wall protection solutions.
