County Emergency Operations Center

control facility and warehouse

A Pennsylvania County’s Emergency Operations Center (EOC), the central command and control facility responsible for emergency preparedness and emergency management, wanted to improve protection and security of their homeland security assets and streamline their storage capacity and access.

HSA led design efforts for the construction of two pre-engineered buildings - a garage and warehouse. The one story garage was designed to house mobile assets, provide a small on-site office space, and a maintenance shop. The single story warehouse building is used for the storage of stationary assets and supplies, required dedicated office space, and a facility workroom. Additionally the warehouse stores emergency equipment required should the County experience a catastrophic event.

HSA participated in all phases of design including programming, schematic design, design development, documentation, and assisted the County in securing proposals through a purchasing network and construction administration.
